My name is Mohammad Ikhsan Shiddieqy, and I am a PhD candidate at Wageningen University & Research (WUR). My journey into research has always been driven by a fascination with how people, animals, and environment interact, especially within Indonesia’s complex agricultural systems. This curiosity eventually led me to my current PhD project (April 2024–March 2028), where I explore the benefits of the oil palm plantation and beef cattle integration system.

At WUR, I work across the Animal Production Systems and Plant Production Systems groups, allowing me to approach problems from multiple angles, ecology, agronomy, animal science, and socio-environmental perspectives. My aim is to help develop practical insights and interdisciplinary solutions that improve productivity while also supporting farmers well-being.

My PhD is funded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) and conducted under the assignment of the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN). I have worked as a researcher at BRIN since June 2022, based at the Research Center for Animal Husbandry. Before that, I served as a researcher at the Indonesian Center for Animal Research and Development under the Ministry of Agriculture.

I am always open to collaboration, whether in research, knowledge exchange, or interdisciplinary initiatives. Please feel free to reach out.
